Nick’s 2010 SuperBowl Prop Bets

Bdoug and Nick will be having a prop bet competition.  The contest is as follows:


We each have $10,000 in pretend money.  We have to place pretend bets with this fantasy money on a minimum of 10 props and a maximum of 13 props.  The most we can bet on a single prop is $2,500 (1/4 bankroll).  The winner will receive $50,000 in fake money, and receive $200 each time they advance pass Go.  Here’s Bdoug’s page.

1.  Saints -3.5 (+300).  If you think they can, why not by 3.5?  Some may call it a sucker bet.  Whatever, this is the Super Bowl and you're supposed to have fun and this is fake money anyway.

2.  Team to commit most turnovers:  Colts (+115)  Saints ball hawking defense.

3.  Successful 2 pt conversion:  Yes (+350)  Kickers are overrated

4.  Will the game go into overtime?  Yes (+850)  IT'S DUE!!!

5.  Will Saints score every quarter?  Yes (+180)  #1 Offense in the NFL

6.  Total Saints rushing yards (100.5):  OVER (-110)  They've rushed for over 100 yards 13 out of 18 games this year.

7.  Total 1st downs by Saints (21.5):  OVER (-120) Again, #1 offense in the NFL.

8.  Defense to record first INT:  Saints (-115)  Again, ball hawking defense.

9.  Pierre Thomas rush yards (52.5): OVER (-110)  Feed him the rock!  In games where he gets 10+ carries (which I fully expect for this game), he averaged 70+ yards per contest.

10.  Reggie Bush receiving yards (29.5):  OVER (-115)  Potential x-factor and safety valve for Drew Brees

11.  Dallas Clark receiving yards (67.5):  OVER (-110)  Saints got ambushed by Shiancoe so Clark should have a field day.

12.  Distance of first FG:  30-36 yards (+250)  Saints D is the best inside the red zone.

13.  Double result prop:  Tie at halftime, Saints win game (+1100)  If you like the Saints to win, these are the longest odds for a double result.  Enjoy the Super Bowl everybody!!
